April 12, 2006 Meeting Minutes

Attendees: David, Gary, Stuart, Melodye, Stephanie, Melissa, and Gina

David began by reviewing recent events including Don Cerow and the recent Vedic conference.

The focus of the meeting was the seventh house. We began with a discussion of various viewpoints of the seventh house.

  • Other - anyone who doesn't fit somewhere else, although insignificant persons probably don't appear in any particular place at all.
  • Long term relationships
  • Clarity - Gina said this is the only house that is clear
  • What you are looking for
  • Open enemies
  • Lee Lehman - committed relationships (5th is fun, 7th is committed)
  • 7th is more visible (being above the horizon) than the 5th house (below the horizon). This was also seen in older times when marriages were more for public formality and sex was behind the scenes recreation.

We discussed Melissa's chart with Scorpio on the 7th house which includes Mercury, Sun, Moon, and Neptune in Sagitarius. The planets are bundled within about a 90 degree orb led by Jupiter and Saturn in Libra in the 5th house and trailed by Mars in the 8th?

  • Bundle leads to concentrated energy.
  • Creative - graduated from art school last May, working in hospital in
  • Home situation not conducive to creative process, in process of looking for new place
  • M.E. Jones - person is specialized in the occupied houses and may neglect other houses
  • Lifestyle is highly focused - may not be motivated to do other things, but they may be competent outside the bundle
  • Leading and trailing planets in the bundle are very important.
  • Jupiter leading and Mars trails (diurnally) - lots of energy to get things accomplished
  • Gina highlighted that this focus on the 7th house will require careful selection of the people she surrounds herself with
  • David - Melissa needs enthusiastic co-workers
  • David asked if she has sudden endings of relationships. Moon at midpoint of Mars/Uranus can be angry and abrupt and this energy is in 7th house

We discussed Stephanie's chart with Sun conjunct Mars in the 7th house. (Notes here mostly copied from Stephanie's notes.)

  • Medieval astrologers - marry someone in the military. Stephanie countered that her husband is not in the military, but she sees him as someone with power.
  • Confrontation - Sun/Mars conjunction, tied in to Saturn and pluto in 15 degree aspects
  • Social power - involved with major companies and organizations
  • Conclusion - she wants to be an executive type

We discussed Gary's chart with 7th house containing Venus and Mercury in Leo; Sun, Vertex, Pluto, and Uranus in Virgo.

  • Demands integrity - on time - details all in place
  • With the 7th house you don't have complete control
  • Somewhat conservative about "the job"
  • Gary may do well witha tight, smaller group - like clock works
  • Gary says maybe all the details are NOT totally important
  • The Vertex - "what you should be doing"
  • Gary says 7th house overload - he is always "looking" even though married - may be Venus in Leo
  • David: Venus square Neptune - wants incredible sweetness that can't be found (angelic, etc.)
  • David says needs to maintain balance
