September 21, 2005 Meeting Minutes
Brief about our previous meeting on September 21, 2005, 7pm: Although it was a short meeting, we were able TO attain most of OUR goals for that meeting. See details below:
* Attendees: Michelle Gould, Gina Zeitlin, David Cochrane, Fei Cochrane, Stephanie Clement, and Fre Bickum.
* Naming of our group: We did not come up with the name of the group. The time was too short to move on with the discussion. Everyon agreed to close this specifif subject for next meeting. Although we did not come to a conclusion, we did come up with good names such as; "Central Florida Astrology Association", "Gainesville Friends of Astrology", "The Florida Astrology Group", "Raven Mavens", "Cosmic Astrology", "SatrGazers", "Astara", "Regulus", "Capella", "Arc Taurus", "Orion Belts", "Kiper Belts", "Jupiter Rising", "The Gainesville Astrology Group", "Sirius Star Gazers", and "Sirius, The Gainesville Astrology Group". "StarGazers" had a popularity vote but the group decided to put it back on the table for another discussion next meeting.
* We also discussed about having officers in the group. We have all concluded that since, we are still a very small group, we will not elect officers at this point. All work will be shared by the members of the group for now.
* Our Goal: As we agreed at the meeting, our goal is to encourage or local community to join us. We will offer free attendance to our meetings for now while we are still forming the group. This will encourage the community to join us and be curious of what we are up to. We can then later ask for donations each time we have a meeting to start funds for the group. We will then see later how we can move on starting funds for our group so we can establish a bank account. If some funds happen to coem our way, Michelle will act as our temporary treasurer for now. As you can see, I will be our temporary secretary for now.
* Fred's Lecture: "Age of Aquarius". Fred's lecture was very interesting. It would have been great however if we had more time for him to finish his very interesting subject which was moving into the subject about our "Spiritual Birth Time". I would like to propose for Fred to continue this subject in our future meetings.
* Based on Fred's lecture, one subject came up, "Saturn represents Fear". Then I asked "Why?". This question has not been answered. Stephanie proposed to have this subject as our next astrology discussion. Everyone agreed to this proposal.
* The meeting was adjourned at 9:07pm (over time)
